About me
I offer my creative and strategic thinking skills for project and organisational development, research and writing and for facilitating meetings and coordinating events.
Over the past twenty five years I have worked in food businesses, voluntary and third sector organisations and in educational settings in Wales and England. In each role I have implemented changes to improve results and outcomes. For example,
Revising the curriculum so it was relevant for my students which increased engagement and improved GCSE results.
Developing staff and volunteer training and supervision in the surplus food cafe I managed which increased retention rates and job satisfaction.
Supporting a charity through significant change including moving premises, restructuring delivery of their programme and developing their financial plan so they could continue when they were threatened with closure.
I have experience researching and writing, including,
funding applications
educational resources
subject specific guidebooks/handbooks
articles and longer publications

‘Corinne created an excellent information guide for community groups who might be interested in starting a Surplus Food Project but needed more information.
Corinne produced the document quickly and efficiently covering everything we discussed. Timings were tight due to funding and Corinne was able to work to our deadline.’
Participant experience is an essential consideration for me when coordinating events or facilitating sessions. Balanced with achieving the objectives of the organisers.
A day-long event I coordinated, ‘Energy in the Community’, exemplifies this well. Attendees ranged in age from school children to retired people. The programme included professional and academic talks, hands-on activities, electric bike test-riding, eco-conscious catering from The Grub Kitchen and the event was powered by a mobile solar system. One of the event organisers, Renew Wales said,
‘The day itself was immensely successful and several comments were received about people having never been to an event like it! Whilst there were quite a few people involved, Corinne’s organisation and creative skills are what made the variety and joyfulness of the day a success.’
My personal traits of being empathic and neurodivergent influence my professional practice, allowing me to see connections and develop creative ideas outside of the norm. My clients appreciate my objective perspective and the value I deliver for them. In their own words,
‘In our small but dynamic and sometimes complicated world, Corinne would see the bigger picture and indicate the right direction. She is incredibly supportive, but not a follower if you know what I mean. Her skills with communication, both with people and via the internet were so important to us, as was her management of people.
I would be more than happy to recommend Corinne to any (good!) organisation and would add that anyone working with her will be lucky to do so! If TBG were in the position to employ her again we would do so in a heartbeat.’
