I respect your privacy and am committed to protecting your personal information. Any personal information I collect from you as part of you making a booking or contacting me is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling that booking or enquiry. The information that you give me (your name, address, email and phone number), is stored securely and will never be sold, traded or shared with anyone else.

Mailing List

I use Squarespace to send out occasional newsletters. These newsletters include information on workshops, courses, publications, events, news and offers. You can subscribe to the mailing list at the bottom of each page of my website.

If you join my mailing list and change your mind about receiving my newsletters, it's easy to unsubscribe. There are clear written instructions on how to do so at the bottom of each email newsletter that I send you. 

Removing Personal Information

As part of respecting your rights to privacy I am more than happy to remove any personal data that I may have collected from you as part of making a booking with me, or through joining my mailing list. My website uses cookies. Cookies are small pieces of data that websites store on a device and are an integral part of using the internet. Cookies improve your browsing experience because they help websites remember preferences and understand how people use different features.

Name: Crumb. Duration: Session. Purpose: Prevents cross-site request forgery (CSRF). CSRF is an attack vector that tricks a browser into taking unwanted action in an application when someone’s logged in.

Name: RecentRedirect. Duration: 30 minutes. Purpose: Prevents redirect loops if a site has custom URL redirects. Redirect loops are bad for SEO.

Name: CART. Duration: 2 weeks. Purpose: Shows when a visitor adds a product to their cart.

Name: hasCart. Duration: 2 weeks. Purpose: Tells Squarespace that the visitor has a cart.

Name: SiteUserInfo. Duration: 3 years. Purpose: Identifies a visitor who logs into a customer account.

Name: SiteUserSecureAuthToken. Duration: 3 years. Purpose: Authenticates a visitor who logs into a customer account.

Name: Commerce-checkout-state. Duration: Session. Purpose: Stores state of checkout while the visitor is completing their order with Stripe.

Name: squarespace-popup-overlay. Duration: Persistent. Purpose:  Prevents the Promotional Pop-Up from displaying if a visitor dismisses it.

Name: squarespace-announcement-bar. Duration: Persistent. Purpose: Prevents the Announcement Bar from displaying if a visitor dismisses it.

Analytics and Performance Cookies

I also use Analytics and Performance cookies to collect information about how you - my website visitors - interact with my site. This information is used by Squarespace to populate the data I find in my Squarespace Analytics, such as traffic sources, most viewed pages and a sales overview. This information is used by me and I may review it with my website Virtual Assistant, this information is not shared with anyone else.

Name: ss_cid. Duration: 2 years. Purpose: Identifies unique visitors and tracks a visitor’s sessions on a site.

Name: ss_cvr. Duration: 2 years. Purpose: Identifies unique visitors and tracks a visitor’s sessions on a site.

Name: ss_cvisit. Duration: 30 minutes. Purpose: Identifies unique visitors and tracks a visitor’s sessions on a site.

Name: ss_cvt. Duration: 30 minutes. Purpose: Identifies unique visitors and tracks a visitor’s sessions on a site.

Name: ss_cpvisit. Duration: 2 years. Purpose: Identifies unique visitors and tracks a visitor’s sessions on a site.

Name: ss_cookieAllowed. Duration: 30 years. Purpose: Remembers if a visitor agreed to placing Analytics cookies on their browser if a site is restricting the placement of cookies.
